MSK Specialist Physiotherapist

Cerys has 14 years experience working as a Physiotherapist in a wide variety of setting as well as countries!

She is driven by providing a Physio experience that she believes clients often don’t get - giving you the confidence and showing you what you are capable of on your journey of injury recovery.  She also recognises the importance of providing support, guidance and strong rapport with clients.

Cerys has worked as a Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist for the last 10 years, in the NHS as well as privately. She has worked overseas in Greece and as a personal trainer in Australia. She also qualified as a Level 1 Strength and Conditioning coach whilst in Australia, which strengthened her skills of preventative injury prehab, as well as injury recovery rehab. She has a clear understanding of how important movement & biomechanics are in relation to injuries and how, so commonly, it is the cause of injuries - she uses these movement analysis skills with all her patients.

Cerys’ interest in sports Physiotherapy has taken her into Division 1 rugby teams as well as the Senior Women's Welsh hockey team, including being their sole Physio for their World Cup tour to France and then to Malaysia!

She has a specialist interest in running injuries and really enjoys working with all types of runners; rookie to elite…being a runner herself there may be some bias! Cerys also likes to cycle and has several triathlons under her belt. As well as endurance sports she is also passionate about weight training and has experienced the invaluable benefits of feeling fit and strong!

Alongside her sporting interests she is also driven by working with patients who experience conditions such as back pain, general joint pain and osteoarthritis - conditions she believes are often under treated and misunderstood.
