Mark has a wealth of experience in the assessment and treatment of a wide range of adult and paediatric musculoskeletal conditions. Experience gained working within dynamic A&E, trauma and outpatient clinics has allowed Mark to develop and refine his skills in the diagnostic and treatment of acute injuries. Alongside this Mark has experience in the assessment and management of chronic conditions such as Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid Arthritis amongst others. Mark’s skills in manual therapy, exercise prescription, strength and conditioning and functional rehabilitation have provided him with the tools to deliver a comprehensive treatment program for a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions enhancing physical and mental wellbeing.

Mark has furthered his learning and practice education to become qualified in the assessment and administration of Corticosteroid Joint Injections. He also holds a qualification in ‘Independent Prescribing’ within his scope of practice, being able to supplement his treatment delivery with medication where appropriate.

Mark has developed his experience, knowledge, and skills to become specialised in the management of Pelvic dysfunction. His thorough understanding of pain mechanisms and specialist training in this area has provided him with the expertise to treat conditions such as chronic pelvic pain, erectile dysfunction, and incontinence.

Mark holds the position of Team Lead Occupational Health Physiotherapist in Cardiff and Vale UHB providing experience in dealing with work related conditions and writing health evaluation reports. Health promotion on a wider scale forms a part of his role addressing the bigger picture of encouraging patients to engage in health and wellbeing initiatives.

Mark is a keen sportsman. His main sport is football. He represented South West England at the age of 18 and was a trialist at Tottenham Hotspur F.C. Since moving to Wales in 2003 he has played Welsh League Football for a variety of clubs winning the League Cup with Goytre Utd in 2005. Mark now manages Trethomas Bluebirds AFC in the Ardal South East League.
